What do professional athletes and firefighters have in common? They both likely struggle with their nutrition and more than likely overcomplicate it!

Enter Maureen Stoecklein, RD. Moe is not only a retired career firefighter but a dietitian and the woman in charge of the Detroit Tiger's team nutrition.

Hear about how she got to where she is today, her grouchy dog Bailey (and his BFF Kevin), and tips to simplify nutrition for firefighters.

Maureen has served as a registered dietitian for over 25 years. She retired in 2022 from her position as a full-time firefighter/paramedic for Canton Township. While serving as a firefighter in Canton Township, MI, she spent three seasons as Team Performance Dietitian for the New York Mets baseball organization. Currently, she is in her second season as the MLB Nutrition Coordinator for the Detroit Tigers. Maureen is an accomplished athlete who understands the importance of solid nutrition for optimum performance. She was selected as one of four women in the United States to represent Brawny Paper towels' Strength Has No Gender Campaign and was featured in Crain’s Business Magazine.

and colleagues she has met along the way inspire her to share her love of healthy
food and insights to help others succeed!

So what, now what?
Nutrition doesn't have to be complicated! Prioritize protein and fiber. Take it easy on the alcohol and eat the rainbow every day.
